Well of GRACE Ministries closed their residential program December 19, 2009 due to lack of funds. They plan on starting up a day program hopefully in March (2010). I was in their residential program for three months when they closed and that was really devastating. That program was amazing, it was so helpful. Awesome staff. I’m sure the day program will be good too.

When were you there: Jan – present
Describe the average day: Wake up, eat breakfast, work on chores or do homework depending one the day, study time with staff, lunch, depending on the day counseling for 2 hours/free time , study time, dinner, free time/outing, bed
What were meals like? Everyone helps cook. Meals are good. You get to help put the menus together.
What sorts of food were available or served? Well today for lunch we had turkey sammichs, a banana or some other fruit, and a veggie i had carrots. and then dinner was talpalia (sp??) fish, melon, rice, and a veggie. Like I said though, you get to help put menus together to a point.
Did they supplement? How did that system work? Nope 
. Well so far i’ve not seen them used.
What privelages are allowed? Internet once a week and phone calls on the weekends after you have been there a month
Does it work on a level system? not really. Everything is very individualized
What sort of groups do they have? Not so many. more studies and study groups. But you get a lot out of the studies.
What was your favorite group? See above
What did you like the most? I love how small the program is. how much it just feels like home after a while. the staff is all super nice and just all around awesome.
What did you like the least? there really isn’t anything yet
Would you recommend this program? For sure.
What level of activity or exercise was allowed? We go to the gym 3 times a week
What did people do on weekends? lots of things. we have fun outings. We have been bowling, snowshoeing, snow tubing, to movies, the library. Lots of options.
Do you get to know your weight? yeah you choose to see it or not
How fast is the weight gain process? don’t know.
What was the average length of stay? 30 days to 6 months
What was the average age range? 18-24
What kind of aftercare do they provide? Do they help you set up an OP treatment team? haven’t got that far yet
How many IP beds? 4
