- Has anyone been here recently that would be willing to do a full review? Maybe it’s not as bad as it used to be?
I met with my dietitian today, and she has decided we (meaning treatment team and I) need to start looking into impatient/residential. This is one of the places she mentioned. So I’d love to hear if it’s improved any. Thanks!

Alyson is right. This place was terrible. The staff didn’t focus on my issues and ignored my requests. The art therapy and clerical “experts” were quacks. My psychiatrist never had any time to speak with me about my issues. They insisted I go to a heart doctor who is apparently in the middle of a big billing fraud lawsuit with former patients! This Dr. Right lady is a first class nutjob. I asked to see someone else, and they said I was letting “my eating disorder control my decisions.” This place kept me drugged up on hardcore medicine I would NEVER take IRL. It was like a scene from Jacob’s Ladder. Made my problems harder to resolve later! AVOID, AVOID! They want your money here and are banking on sick peeps.
Inpatient is more of a pysch stabalization. The day program is completely different.
Well first off there were no other eating disorder patients in the inpatient part of the program and the director said that there was earlier in the day. I was 23 at the time and I was roomed with a girl who was in her 40′s and she was not struggling with an eating disorder. She had overdosed on pain pills and tried to kill herself. Another thing was the whole floor is mixed guys/girls. It was more of a Psychiatric ward. It is really uncomfortable. I was really upset when my family left and the nurses did not seem to care at all and would not talk to me. Also I told them I felt dizzy and that they probably needed to check my blood pressure but they didn’t seem to give a crap. I wish there was a good place in Texas. I would recommend going to either Laureate in Tulsa Oklahoma or ERC in Denver. I have been to Laureate and it really helped me and the whole staff cares. If you have any other questions let me know.
