The UPenn Center for Weight and Eating Disorders (CWED) is located at the Perelman School of Medicine at University of Pennsylvania. It is an outpatient program that was founded 60 years ago, and focuses on the research and treatment of eating disorders such as binge eating disorder, bulimia nervosa, and night eating syndrome, and weight related issues such as behavioral weight management, body image disturbance, and bariatric surgery (pre- and post-surgical therapeutic support). The outpatient treatment they provide is intensive and individualized, including utilizing treatment modalities from Europe.
