This isn’t a real review, but since there is nothing else on here yet I figure throwing my experience out there couldn’t hurt! I tried to go here for their DBT and trauma programs! From what I can tell, it looks like it’s a really REALLY good program. I was referred there as a stepdown from a non-ED related mental health hositalization on two separate occasions.
They have residential, PHP, IOP, and outpatient. But to be clear, Clearview is NOT a tailored ED treatment facility. They treat eating disorders that present with other issues that they actually are specialized in, like borderline personality, trauma, addictions, suicidal ideation or attempts, emotional disregulation, selfharm, self destructiveness, impulsivity, etc. But one would need to go with their ED in check before admitting, with the intention of working on the underlying issues that led to the ED in the first place. That would have been what I did, and from my understanding they have the knowledgable staff to support that (I could be wrong! Please correct me!)
I had my outside therapist look over all the schedules/packets they sent me of groups they offer and everything and she thought it looked very well structured and intensive (the things I was looking specifically for were DBT, ACT, ERP, and trauma work.) Basically, exactly what I needed!
Sadly, the only reason I ended up not being able to go is that they only take PPO insurance plans and they are still out of network for those plans. My family is not in a place where we can afford that unfortunately. But, pending a review from some who has actually been there haha, I’d still recommend others check them out!
