I’ve been through this program multiple times. I would say it will work for you if you are really motivated to recover and your eating disorder isn’t that severe. I’ve seen several people who have gone through the program and come out the other side recovered, that just wasn’t the case for me. My first time in the program was November of 2022. I was discharged in December for supplementing my meals. They do supplementation there however it is very discouraged and will lead to discharge. After I was discharged, I was not referred to another program and was told to just do outpatient and to come back when I was ready to recover. In my most recent time in the program, I was doing well with meals while in program but was struggling outside of program to do it on my own. I was told on a Friday that if I didn’t have a perfect weekend, following my meal plan 100% to not bother coming back on Monday. Overall, this program was just not for me and the only reason I continued to go is because it was close to home and they didn’t refer me elsewhere. Like I said, I have seen this program work for people, it just wasn’t a good fit for me.
Please please please don’t ever go here. Their treatment model is from the 90s and has never been updated. Adults and adolescents are mixed together, and I have attended the program when I was 15 and 22. As an adult, I was told that being honest in groups was too triggering to younger clients, so I stopped sharing. So often groups would just not happen with no explanation. If you are discharged for struggling, you will not get referrals. Basically, they only care about their “success” numbers (aka you doing 100% of food right away and then discharging)
